Three dimensional works can encompass, sculpture, ceramics and found object work called assemblage. It is often thought to be something that needs a lot of space and equipment to explore but when we look around our houses and identify the things in our environment we may have more then we once thought. Food items can be considered sculpture you can share and eat, folding paper can transform paper into the third dimension, rummaging around and exploring are great ways to get inspired. When I think of creating in the third dimension the therapeutic value can become much more kinesthetic and tactile. We can explore senses like smell and sound in ways other mediums may not provide.
