Evolve - Salus Center and Pride Event 2022

This was a community sculpture created for the Salus Center in Rio Town Lansing. Juji Blain reached out to my previous employer to see if art therapy could be featured at EVOLVE an event lead by Armon Caston, this event happened in June during the week of Juneteenth and represented mental health support for LGBTQIA+ and supporting black small businesses. We set up a table with tons of stickers representing many 2SLGBTQIA+ identities and dot paint markers to create a bookshelf out of recycled spools. Salus Center is a brick and mortar gathering space for LGBTQIA+ communities to gather and advocate for rights, recognizing intersectionality and oppressive systems.
